The Two Brothers Saloon in Austin circa 1900

Recommended Posts

Traces of Texas reader Keith Falcone kindly submitted this killer diller shot of the Two Brothers saloon in Austin, which was owned by his grandfather, Mike Falcone. It was located at 3rd and Colorado. It looks like the kind of place where everybody knew your name. The sign on the mirror reads "U R Always Welcome Here." The sign to the left of that reads "No minors, students, habitual drunkards, allowed in this place." Although that bartender looks a bit surly, if you catch my drift.  FANTASTIC clarity!  ☺️

Thank you, Mike! Awesome photo.

May be a black-and-white image of 7 people, people standing and indoor
