Traces Posted January 23, 2023 Share Posted January 23, 2023 Holy smokes, knock me over with a feather! Check out this great photo of Oscar Dyke's place on Irving Blvd. in Irving, Texas back in 1934. The signs are FANTASTICO! The band members are Howard Woods, Ikie Story, Leroy Williams and Wylie Brooks. This photo was posted by Sudie McCoy on the Pioneers of Dallas County FaceBook page and Sudie was kind enough to allow me to share it here. Wylie Brooks is Sudie's husband's uncle, which is how she came by the photo. There's just so much to love here. For one thing, I'm thinking I'd like to have a beer with a man named "Ikie Story."
