A Personal Country by A. C. Greene

Recommended Posts

This is a wonderful book that examines life in west Texas when the roads were bad, life was hard, and the towns were small.  It is a collection of essays in which he recounts his experiences growing up along with information about places like Thurber and people like 80 John Wallace.

This is a must read for anyone interested in Texas as it was.
