Sundance Posted January 29, 2023 Share Posted January 29, 2023 My grandmother Clara was 75yrs old at the time of this hospital stay. I was about 7 yrs old, Grandma was taking care of all five of us. I remember a lot of commotion and each of us was picked up by an a family member until later in the evening. Clara had a hemorrhage of some kind I learned some years later. I loved my Grandma, she would tell us stories about riding wild horses even men wouldn’t ride. She hoed cotton, was always the one to find a rattlesnake. Had her five children at home. My mother, the youngest was only 4lbs when she was born. They weighed her on a cotton scale. Grandpa and Grandma were farmers.
