I posted this photo on my Facebook feed once, nine years ago, imagining that this might have been 1960, but was soon corrected by those who looked at the dresses and said "early 1950s." And then Traces of Texas reader Bruce Pfeiffer said "This is so cool for me - my uncle Bernard's place! He's in front holding his daughter (my cousin Brenda). Brenda was born in 1950, so this may have been 1951. His wife Bonnie (Brenda's mother) is at the cash register behind him, wearing glasses. My grandmother (his mother) also worked down there over the years. Such a big part of my family's life in the '50's! This is almost overwhelming!"
