My Dad, Frank Loria, was a cotton farmer in the Mumford, Texas bottom his entire life. I remember him picking the first bale of the season several times during my childhood. He’s pictured here, around 1960, EBA50D79-0AB9-44CC-AA46-8241FEF52A35.thumb.jpeg.842f1074d4fa4081e8e768a2afa31157.jpegon the right, and my uncle Chris Loria is on the left. Gin foreman David Smith is in the center. Don’t you just love those grins?
