Allison Posted March 23, 2023 Share Posted March 23, 2023 This is a picture of my grandfather, James “Popeye” Shaw (2nd from the left) working on a rig somewhere out in west Texas in the early-mid 1950s. Born in Decatur, TX, he began working in the oil fields in west Texas and eastern New Mexico shortly after returning home from the Korean War.
