Larry Weidman
I’m a retired journalist with better than forty years in TV news. My great, great, great grandfather Thomas Jefferson Jordan got to San Jacinto the day after the battle, so my Texas roots are deep. I grew up in Wichita Falls, and got my start at KAUZ-TV there. Then to KPRC-TV in Houston, and eventually NBC News, for twenty-five years. Along the way I collected a lot of film and videotape, some of which has migrated from my closet to The Weidman Collection at the non-profit Texas Archive of the Moving Image, in Austin. Have a look!
