art in El paso
Texans dancing to Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys at the Bob Wills Day Saturday Night Dance in Turkey Texas, circa 2006. Looks like three generations carrying on the tradition of the Texas dancehall! The little lady on the right seems to be doing just fine, and I would expect that she has now perfected her style and has probably covered a thousand miles on Texas dancefloors over the past 16 years! Bob Wills Day has been celebrated on the last Saturday in April for more than 50 years. Hall County Proud!
Traces
And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen ... the first post made by a "person in the wild" i.e. not me or one of the two friends I have already recruited to post here on this forum. Let it be noted that the it's Jan. 11, 2023. THANK YOU ART IN EL PASO!

Baby Head
If this picture had been taken in South Central Texas, I would say that dance was the Schottische. The schottische was popular in the German and Czech dance halls throughout this area.
