Traces Posted June 1 Share Posted June 1 Reader Mary Maxwell graciously forwarded this WONDERFUL photo of a girl's high school basketball game being played in Gatesville, Texas. It's not certain when this was taken but my guess, judging from the clothes, is circa 1915. The details are terrific. Look at the referee in suit and hat. And they're playing on hard packed dirt!
