Texpatriate Posted January 12, 2023 Share Posted January 12, 2023 Attached is another original letter from my collection of family documents of my great-great-great grandfather, Rev DB Morrill. DB ended his career as the pastor of the historic church in Independence. This letter was written in 1852 while he was an itinerant pastor traveling across TX. This letter indicates that when he returns to Huntsville, he and Laura will be married. I particularly like the salutation, it is quite unique! You can learn more about DB at the church and museum in Independence, TX. I will past my effort to write the document for readability but keep in mind that I also attempted to keep spelling and punctuation as-is from the period, so bear that in mind.
