An actual chuckwagon that was used on the XIT ranch in the Texas Panhandle  The ranch was the largest in U.S. history, totaling some three million acres and measuring roughly 200 miles by 25 miles.  It was established in 1885 but was never really profitable. In 1901 large parcels of the ranch began to be sold off and by 1913 it was completely gone, having existed for only 27 years.   The chuckwagon is in the collection of the Panhandle Plains Museum.  Photo by Wikipedia contributor Pi3.124.
