Traces Posted January 19, 2023 Share Posted January 19, 2023 An actual chuckwagon that was used on the XIT ranch in the Texas Panhandle The ranch was the largest in U.S. history, totaling some three million acres and measuring roughly 200 miles by 25 miles. It was established in 1885 but was never really profitable. In 1901 large parcels of the ranch began to be sold off and by 1913 it was completely gone, having existed for only 27 years.
